It is with great pleasure that we present a young Italian artisan who has always had a deep passion for pipes but only recently decided to transform this passion into a true art. Hailing from Casalbordino, in Abruzzo, a village located on the hills overlooking the sea and near the famous Costa dei Trabocchi, Nicola Pirocco has chosen to devote himself to the creation of briar pipes, perfecting his technique and refining his talent thanks too the experience gained at the Accademia della Pipa. This training journey has allowed him to enhance his skills and fulfill his dream of working full-time in his passion.
Today, his work stands out for its keen attention to proportions and meticulous attention to detail. Although his production focuses primarily on classic models, the artisan has managed to give each creation a unique touch, with very interesting contrasts and colors. The classic and sober style of his pipes fully reflects the values and culture of his land, blending tradition and refinement.
A distinctive element of his brand is the logo, which depicts his dog Pluto, to whom he is very attached and whom he rescued as a puppy from a shelter. This symbol represents not only a deep and personal bond but also the importance of the values of affection and dedication that Nicola brings to his work.
This young talent demonstrates the importance of valuing and supporting the new generations of artisans, who carry forward an art that is rooted in centuries of tradition. The Accademia della Pipa, founded by Masters Mimmo Romeo, Gabriele Dal Fiume, Davide Iafisco, and Gioacchino Sauro, has played a crucial role in this journey, offering new artisans the opportunity to perfect their skills and passionately contribute to the continuity and evolution of this timeless art.
