In order to celebrate our hundred years of assets, on 7th July (in Mimmo Romeo laboratory in Taggia - Italy) we joined some pipe-makers to realize a very special pipe. Lars Ivarsson, Eltang, Teddy Knudsen, Roberto Ascorti, Mimmo Romeo and Jess Chonowitsch (masters that express the highest world's pipe production), have realized a pipe to celebrate our Century.
The result of this event is a marvellous art opera that Al Pascia’ and its friends have donated to Orphanage Africa (www.oafrica.org) a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that aims to support orphans, needy children and women in Ghana. Orphanage Africa extends its support in a variety of ways.
Initially Orphanage Africa developed projects to help make orphanages self-sufficient by individually analysing acute problems. They designed programmes that focus on education, healthcare, basic infrastructure and farming.
The pipe has been sold on e-bay in autumn and proceeds have been given directly to the non-profit organisation Orphanage Africa (now OrphanAid Africa). We want to focus your attention on the fact that never Danish and Italian so able artisan met themselves to create a pipe.
Unfortunately at last moment for health problem Nanna Ivarsson couldn't be with the group, but she gave a tamper.
We thank all friends that joined with enthusiasm to this initiative.
